The short version: this site collects your email address only if you type it in, uses it only for the reason you gave it, never sells or shares it for marketing, and lets you remove it at any time.
This website, curiositynovels.com, is run by Martin Cosgrove, an author based in England. For the purposes of UK GDPR he is the data controller. To ask anything about your data, or to have it deleted, use the contact form.
If you sign up, the site stores your email address and the date you signed up. It is used for one thing: occasional email about the Curiosity books and any new writing. There is no fixed schedule and no other content.
The legal basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, which takes effect immediately. Your address is kept until you unsubscribe, or until the list is closed.
The list is held by Resend, an email service provider, on servers in Ireland. Their privacy policy is at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Messages sent through the contact form include the name, email address and message you provide, plus the country your request came from. This is used only to read and reply to your message, and the legal basis is legitimate interest — you contacted an author and expect an answer.
Messages are delivered by Resend to a personal mailbox and are not added to the mailing list. Signing up to the mailing list is a separate, deliberate action.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP address and browser type in order to serve pages and block attacks. If aggregate visitor statistics are enabled, they are privacy-preserving and do not use cookies or track individuals across sites.
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It stores a few small preferences in your own browser — whether interface sound is muted, your chosen Amazon store, and your spoiler clearance level. These never leave your device and are not personal data.
Buy links point to Amazon. Once you follow one, Amazon's own privacy policy applies.
Nobody. Your details are never sold, rented, or shared for marketing. They are handled only by the service providers named above, acting on instructions, and disclosed otherwise only if the law requires it.
Requests are free and answered within one month.
This site is not aimed at children under 13, and no signup from a child under 13 is knowingly accepted. If you believe a child has subscribed, get in touch and the address will be removed.
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting the mailing list will be announced in an email before they take effect.
